Dear Customers,

Due to numerous changes taking place this year, 2025, we are required to adapt, and this will take some time.

Starting in mid-May, the website will enter a temporary inactive period to implement necessary changes:

  • Stock update.
  • VAT implementation.
  • Website redesign.

The site’s Vinted account will be in vacation mode for two weeks, from the end of May to mid-June.

We remain available at all times via email, Vinted, or social media.

What is Destockjapan ?

Destockjapan is an independent online shop selling used Japanese books and magazines.

Where do you ship from and to ?

We are shipping from France to the whole world, but not in the European Union.

What is the payment method ?

The default payment is made through Stripe using a credit card but there are plenty payment methods available.

Items in my package are broken/missing/wrong. What should I do ?

All products condition are like new. The shop is selling a huge variety of items in big quantities.
If an item was to be damaged, for example a folded page, you will be able to choose between condition A or condition B where the differences will be written in the item’s description.

We do not sell broken items. In case you receive one, please contact us as soon as possible.

I am looking for a very specific item, can you help me please ?

Yes we can, please contact us directly and give us as many details as you can so we can be efficient in looking out for the item.

Delivery

Where is my order being shipped from ?

Our warehouse is located in France, thus your order will be shipped from France, Europe.

Does my order include a tracking number ?

Your order always include a tracking number which is sent via E-mail.
Please contact us if you have not received your tracking number or need more information

What company is taking care of my order ?

Living in France, Mondial Relay and Colissimo shipping services will take care of your order.

Living outside the EU or overseas, Happy-Post shipping services will take care of your order.
Your package will be transferred to Belgium where it will be dispatched to their respective partners such as USPS for the USA.

When is my order being shipped ?

The opening days to ship a package are from Tuesday to Friday.
However, there are two exceptions:

  1. International shipments are made once every week, on Tuesday.
  2. Delay are to be expected during Winter and Summer holidays.

How long until my order is delivered ?

The waiting time depends on the country your order is shipped to.
The average waiting time is as follow:

  • ~24h to pack your order.
  • ~7-14 opening days to travel from one country to another.
  • +28 opening days if held by your country customs but it does not happen everytime.

Are there any extra fees to be expected ?

No matter how much you spent for your order, you should not get any extra fees.

The delivered products are broken or defective, what can I do?

You have the right to a full refund of the product. We can also ask you to return the product to us with a shipping label, at our expense.
